Time: 8:30am-3:30pm

Location:

Ohio State University at the Newark Campus, Warner Library & Student Center Rm. WC #126, 1219 University Drive, Newark, OH  43055

Come and spend the day learning about how to keep pace with rapid changes and trends in Curriculum Materials Centers.   Three main topics will be covered, edTPAbasics and how CMC’s can support this teacher candidate assessment process, how to use Pinterest to market CMC’s and library resources, and a lively round table discussion centered around connecting CMC programs and events to your community .  The round table will include the discussion of events such as, “A Blind-Date with a Book”,  a “ Mock Caldecott Medal Jury”, the use of iPad app’s in instruction, and other topics.   Come prepared to share your ideas so we can learn from each other about what works in our CMC’s!

Lunch will be provided by the OSU-Newark Catering Service, and then tour The Works, Newark’s Children Museum.   During the tour, learn about how The Works and OSU-Newark’s Educational Learning Center partner with each other. .
