Join a group of Ohio Five librarians grappling with the question of how to truly involve students in their quest to create inclusive digital learning objects across their five institutions. Through the aid of a CODEX Grant, and initially focused on Reframing the ACRL Framework, the group turned to Design Justice which centers community-led design processes and outcomes that empower marginalized voices. In this workshop, Ohio Five librarians will introduce the Design Justice Principles, how they relate to anti-racism, and how this group of librarians are working towards actionable integration into their instructional design process. Attendees will have the opportunity to explore how to engage with these principles, in their practice and in their own libraries, through a variety of discussions and exercises.
