In-Person Pre-Conference - Thursday, November 6, 2025, OCLC Convention Center / Smith Building, 6600 Kilgour Place, Dublin, OH

The pre-conference will include a hands-on workshop presented by Hannah Schmillen, Assistant Dean for Research and Education Services at Ohio University Libraries.  Launchpad to Systematic Reviews: Evidence Synthesis Crash Course for Your Library is a hands-on workshop designed to equip academic librarians with the foundational knowledge and practical skills to support and lead evidence synthesis projects at your libraries, at your pace.

In-Person Conference - Friday, November 7, 2025, OCLC Convention Center / Smith Building, 6600 Kilgour Place, Dublin, OH

The Friday in-person portion of the Conference will feature many informative and inspirational sessions, posters, and lightning talks from your colleagues.  The program will also include:

• The 2025 Conference Keynote Presentation by Ione Damasco, the Associate Dean for Inclusive Excellence and Organizational Development at the University of Dayton Libraries. In this talk, Damasco will explore the power of critical hope as a framework for healthy dissent, as a tool for change, and as a way of building and sustaining community in a world that has become increasingly divided and disconnected.

• Presentations in a “hybrid track room” where sessions will be simulcast live online throughout the day. Each of these sessions will feature presentations on a variety of topics that impact services and activities across all library departments.

Let's Get Social, ALAO!

ALAO is hosting a social on Thursday evening, November 6 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Getaway Brewing in Dublin, OH. Join us for hors d'oeuvres, conversation, and  lovely surroundings. Have dinner at one of the delicious nearby restaurants and then join us for the social!

Free parking is available and there are options for independent activities afterward including Pins Mechanical and 16-Bit Arcade.
