- Ohio Library Support Staff Institute - An annual educational event for support staff members from all types of libraries - many SSIG members have lent their knowledge and skills to this event.
- Directory of Online Library-Related Courses - A national directory of distance education opportunities for library support staff members, sponsored by the Central Colorado Library System
- Visit Ohio's Campuses - A list of Ohio two- and four-year colleges and universities. You can also search the database to find colleges in your area to take individual courses or start on a degree.
- OhioLearns - A catalog of distance education courses offered by Ohio institutions, provided by the Ohio Learning Network.
- Belmont Technical College, which offers an Associate of Applied Science degree in Information Services: Library Paraprofessional. All courses are web-based.
- Ohio Dominican University, which offers an Associate of Arts degree in Library Services and a Bachelor of Arts in Library/Media Education.
- Bowling Green State University, which offers a Bachelor of Science degree in Advanced Technology Education. It is an online degree completion program for students who have completed an associate of applied science degree.
- Kent State University's School of Library and Information Science offers the Master of Library and Information Science degree in-person at the Kent State campus or in Columbus. They also offer the degree via distance education through their 12-12-12 MLIS Distance Degree program.
- ALA Accredited LIS Programs that Provide Distance Education Opportunities - Includes all ALA-accredited library and information science programs offering the MLS degree via distance learning.
