Spring 2008 Workshop Virtual Education Collections: Issues and Best Practices
The Spring 2008 Workshop is scheduled for Friday, May 23, at OHIONET. May 18, 2007 | Miami University - The Spring Workshop, Dynamic CMCs: Tools to Improve Service was Friday, May 18, at Miami University. Speakers and sessions included Sara Bushong, Bowling Green State University, Weeding and Cooperative Collection Development, Janet Stuckey, King Library, Miami University, Treasures of Children's Literature at Miami University, Elaine Fultz, Centerville City Schools, Children's and Young Adult Literature - The Favorites, Old & New!, and Greg Martin, Cedarville University, The Care and Feeding of Library Student Assistants. We toured the William Holmes McGuffey Museum on Miami's campus and Miami's newly renovated Instructional Materials Center.

May 19, 2006 | Cedarville University, Cedarville, OH - The CMCIG Spring Workshop will be held on Friday, May 19, at Cedarville University, in Cedarville, Ohio. A full day is planned with sessions that will interest and benefit all CMC and education librarians. Sessions include Webquests with Sara Bushong of Bowling Green State University, Making Your Life Easier with BWI! with Eileen Armour and Nancy Cheney of BWI, and more. Registration is $35 for ALAO/OCLIS members, $55 for non-members, and $55 for non-members who wish to join ALAO. Registration will be available online beginning March 1 at http://www.cedarville.edu/cmcig.

May 7, 2004 | Bowling Green State University, Bowling Green, OH - This workshop featured a panel discussion, led by Mary Cummings (Shawnee State University) and Sara Bushong (Bowling Green State University), which centered on collection weeding using the CREW method and adhering to ACRL collection guidelines.
- After a short business meeting, Sara Bushong, provided a guided tour of the Bowling Green Curriculum Resource Center in Jerome Library. Attendees also toured BGSU's Technology Resource Center and Production Lab facilities.
- A docent guided tour of Mazza Museum: International Art from Picture Books, at the University of Findlay, completed the afternoon. Mazza Museum is "the first and largest teaching gallery specializing in the original art of children's picture books."
