Proposals were evaluated on the basis of their interest to Ohio libraries and library staff, their potential to spark ideas for application in local settings, connection to the conference theme, originality, and clarity.

Presenters will be responsible for their own travel costs. The conference registration fee will be waived for up to two (2) presenters per session. Free conference registration includes lunch and attendance at other programs. Parking is free.

To encourage support staff participation, the 2003 Program Committee will be awarding 2-3 Support Staff Presenter grants for the 2003 Annual Conference.

Presenters are expected to prepare their own materials and bring enough copies of handouts.

Presenters are encouraged to bring a back-up copy (or copies) of their presentations in the event of a problem with the storage device (e.g. corrupt file, bad disc/diskette, lost disc/diskette, etc.) . An overhead projector will be provided in each breakout room. Presenters should consider bringing a copy of their presentation/ presentation online on an overhead transparency, in the event of an unforeseen hardware failure.

The online equipment request form is to be filled out by the main contact person for each presentation session. Deadline for equipment requests has been extended to September 30th.

Microphones will be available in each of the presentation rooms. Presenters are encouraged to use the microphones in order to ensure all audience members can hear the entire presentation.

Presenters are encouraged to submit URLs to presention files/handouts or copies of their presentations and/or handouts (pdf format preferred) in electronic format for publication on the conference website. Send presentation files and URLs to direnzo@uakron.edu.
