Face to Face or Cyberspace:
Redefining the Human Touch

Academic Library Association of Ohio
28th Annual Conference November 1, 2002
Embassy Suites - Independence, Ohio

Information for Presenters

After much lively discussion, the Program Committee decided on the following theme: Face to Face or Cyberspace: Redefining the Human Touch. Consider how you reach out to patrons, in whatever area of the library in which you work. Are you using current and newly developing technology to help you reach more library users and/or improve and adapt your services to changing needs and times? How does library staff remain at the core of library services? We want you to share what you're doing and how you're succeeding with other academic libraries in Ohio. Please visit the call for proposals at the 2002 Annual Conference web site and submit your ideas for a presentation or poster session. Projects and services from every area of the library are most welcome and encouraged!

New for the 2002 conference is the Support Staff Presenter Grant. The 2002 Program Committee will sponsor 2-3 support staff to present at the 2002 Annual Conference. The Support Staff Interest Group (SSIG) is currently working with Program Committee members to develop procedures and criteria for selection. Forthcoming information will be available via the ALAO web site, listserv, and future newsletters. We look forward to receiving proposals!
