Proposals were evaluated on the basis of their interest to Ohio libraries and library staff, their potential to spark ideas for application in local settings, connection to the conference theme, originality, and clarity.
Presenters will be responsible for their own travel costs, but will not have to pay to register for the conference. The free conference registration includes lunch and attendance at other programs. Parking is free.
Each poster session presenter will be provided with a 6-foot table only. Presenters should bring all materials needed for their displays, including display boards and supplies such as tape, push pins, markers, etc.
Provision of hand-outs is encouraged, as are business cards and sign-up sheets allowing people to request additional information. Presenters should make copies ahead of time.
Materials presented should be easily read at a distance of four feet. Lettering should be large enough (about 3/8" high) to be easily read. Simplicity and legibility are more important than artistic design, although effective visual design will enhance the display.
There will be no capability for electrical or electronic equipment such as computers or audio visual equipment.
Presenters are encouraged to submit URLs to presentation documents or copies of their poster sessions and/or handouts in electronic format for publication on the conference website. Send presentation files and URLs to direnzo@uakron.edu.
