POSITION SUMMARY:

Web Analyst: (Priority 1)
Oversees the US and Canadian Web sites; develops business partnerships with external and internal customers; and analyzes traffic flows seeking ways to increase traffic exposure. The primary goal will be to acquire a working knowledge of our product lines, catalogs and services. This person is responsible for regularly updating Web content and new product data to e-commerce Web site as well as ongoing development and maintenance of the Web. This person will coordinate with other departments supporting catalog, customer service and telemarketing efforts.

IT Support: (Priority 2)
Works closely with end users to examine existing processes and systems and identify opportunities to automate, streamline, or develop new information technology systems to increase efficiency and productivity. This is a project-oriented position with a goal of implementing new and improved systems and capabilities such as a new Web Site with product/booklist integration while meeting specific deadlines. Assists IT Director in fulfillment systems support, network management and daily operations. Also provides help desk support to end users as needed. Will be involved in the creation of a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system. This will involve a redesign of the product catalog booklist integrating this information into the US Web site, Canadian Web site, and the Order Fulfillment System.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES:

1. Update and manage new internal and external Internet applications including ongoing development of Web site. Research, recommend, and implement solutions for Web site upgrade, including features determined by management. Develop and integrate product database (booklist) with Web site. Work with Art Department, Marketing, and IT Director to integrate website with fulfillment system providing for on-line ordering and customer access to order status and inventory availability.

2. Investigates, analyzes and documents sources and flow of data between customers, vendors, staff, company operations/processes, and various information systems. Recommends and implements methods and IT systems to efficiently manage, store, process, and report on company data.

3. Provides tools and assistance to end users to facilitate efficient access and usage of company data. Develops and/or assists end users in usage of queries, reports, and interactive front-end applications.

4. Identifies needs and develop applications and databases to improve current
processes to increase productivity. Develops information systems that provide
capacity and capability to meet existing and new business needs.

Examples of needed projects and applications include:
• Creation of a database that contains customer cataloging/processing specs, which currently are obtained and re-entered each time the customer places an order
• Integration of telemarketing and customer access to sales history, inventory information and to support customer service retention efforts
• Refresh routine telemarketing call list with enhanced selection criteria
• Booklist (product management) system
• Customer broadcast email system
• TM reporting enhancements

5. Provide ongoing end user assistance/help desk support and training in usage of IT software and systems. Enable end users to increase their proficiency in utilizing applications therefore improving efficiency and productivity. Develop intranet based training materials and tutorials.

6. Assist IT Director in integration and migration of order fulfillment system
(Ecometry).

7. Assist in performance of daily systems management tasks and operations, as
well as installations and troubleshooting.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

Four-year college degree in an Information Technology field or equivalent experience.

• 1-2 years applicable Web experience, proficiency in database design and management working as a Web developer and/or information architect. Experience with Web page / Web application design. Experience in HTML, JavaScript, VB.NET, and Excel.

• Programming ability using Visual Basic and/or standard programming languages. Experience with MS SQL or Oracle required. Experience with Informix or HP Turbo-Image helpful.
• Proficiency with MS office applications, Visual Basic, Windows operating systems required. Experience with Netware, Unix, or HP MPE operating systems, email applications and/or ACT helpful.

• Understanding of network operations, protocols, and security.

• Experience with installation, repair, and troubleshooting of IT hardware and software.

• Detail oriented and ability to design efficient and logically organized systems/applications required.

• Ability to work and communicate well with end users.
