About ALAO
ALAO and ACRL
ALAO officially became Ohio's ACRL (Association of College and Research Libraries) Chapter at the ALA Midwinter 1981 board meeting. As an ACRL chapter, ALAO represents Ohio members at Chapter Council meetings, held during ALA Midwinter and ALA Annual Conference, and provides a connection with the national organization. Various funding opportunities and speakers are available to ALAO because of its Chapter status. With the adoption of the new ACRL Strategic Plan, Chapters are playing a more active role in the association, especially in activating the Chapters Council Library Legislation Network and in the areas of continuing education.
